The Emotion Code is an energy healing technique that helps us to identify and literally release trapped emotions, which are harmful emotional energies from negative past events. Trapped emotions can cause depression and anxiety; they can block people from love and happiness and make them feel disconnected from others. Because trapped emotions are made of energy, just like the rest of the body, they exert an influence on the physical tissues and can cause acute pain and even cancer. Releasing trapped emotions makes conditions right for the body to heal - so physical and emotional difficulties often disappear or become much more manageable.
The Body Code expands on The Emotion Code to identify imbalances in six major categories (Energies, Circuits & Systems, Toxins, Pathogens, Misalignments, Nutrition & Lifestyle). Energetic imbalances are identified and released in the same way as trapped emotions. This approach can be used to help any project - physical, mental, emotional.
These modalities are combined with the Anahata Codes in the Rapid Release sessions.
Medical Massage Therapy
This is a clinical approach to massage with the goal of relieving pain and correcting postural imbalances. This type of massage is done over the clothing, so it is recommended that you wear loose fitting athletic attire.
Sessions begin with a Postural Analysis and Physical Assessment using Active Range of Motion (AROM), Passive Range of Motion (PROM), and other specific regional tests depending on the client's chief complaints and goals. This helps to determine the best course of action for the massage. These tests also help to track healing progress. During a typical session, clients will lay supine (face up), prone (face down), and on their sides supported by pillows in order to address different muscles and their attachments.
Medical Massage combines several modalities, including:
Joint Mobilization using both AROM and PROM.
Skin Rolling and Lifting to assess and treat the fascial layer.
Muscle Energy Techniques (METs), a form of manual therapy which uses a muscle's own energy in the form of gentle isometric contractions to relax and lengthen the muscles.
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) utilizes classic massage techniques of compression, petrissage, friction, and effleurage to release tension in the muscle belly and attachments, sometimes including stretching of the muscles.
Trigger Point Therapy uses static pressure combined with cross-fiber friction in order to release trigger points, which typically send pain radiating to surrounding areas of the body.
Myofascial Therapy is a slow deliberate technique used to expand the fascia. This technique uses no lotion or oil, and is applied with a light to moderate pressure. Heat is sometimes applied to aid in this process.
Medical Massage can be used to treat a variety of complaints, including:
Structural Imbalances (forward head, high shoulder, high hip, etc)
Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction
Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu Physio-Philosophy is an ancient healing art used to balance the breath and heal on all levels. It introduces us to ourselves and teaches us that we have the innate ability to harmonize and balance body, mind, and spirit.
Our bodies contain several energy pathways, similar to acupuncture meridians, as well as 26 energy points on each side of the body known as Safety Energy Locks (SELs). When these pathways become blocked by the stress of our daily lives, the energy cannot flow properly and becomes stuck at the SELs. That stuck energy manifests as physical/emotional symptoms or projects.
Sessions generally last about one hour while the receiver lies face-up, fully clothed, on a massage table. After "listening" to the energy pulses in the wrists, the practitioner's hands are used as "jumper cables," gently holding combinations of the 26 SELs in different sequences to unlock the energy flow.
Jin Shin Jyutsu harmonizes the breath, which is essential to life. All disharmony is caused by the inability to either inhale or exhale fully. Because this is such a gentle art which does not require any physical tissue manipulation, it is considered safe for everyone.
*Can be done in-person or using distance healing.
*Now also offering guided-self help sessions online via Zoom!
Reiki is a Japanese healing tradition which involves the practitioner lightly laying their hands on the receiver, or in some cases, hovering their hands over the body with no touch involved. Reiki is Divine Energy. The practitioner does not use their own energy, but instead channels this universal energy for highest good of the receiver. This spiritually guided life force energy helps the body to regain balance and promote healing by aligning the chakras. Reiki was rediscovered by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s and works by opening and aligning the chakras so energy can flow more readily through the body.
Several energy healing modalities can be performed from a distance, as effectively as if the session were happening in person. These include Anahata Codes, Body/Emotion Code, Jin Shin Jyutsu, and Reiki. These modalities help to harmonize emotional and mental projects, but also physical projects like aches and pains, headaches, respiratory or digestive complaints.
This is a great alternative for those who can't make it into the office, or for anyone anywhere who doesn't have a practitioner working nearby. It is also beneficial for oncology patients or others who are immuno-compromised or otherwise restricted to home or hospital.
How does distance healing work?
Think of it this way, electricity, cell phones, radio, TV and internet all use energy frequencies we can’t see in order to function. All of these have to be tuned to the particular frequency they operate at in order to work.
Distance Healing works the same way. Energy is tuned to the person it is being sent to and will flow through the energy currents that exist naturally all around us, just like a phone or wifi signal. Because distance is no obstacle, this healing energy can be sent anywhere in the world, with results as effective as in-person sessions.
Jin Shin Jyutsu for Oncology Patients
Because Jin Shin Jyutsu is a non-invasive modality which only uses a light touch, it does not have the same contraindications as massage. JSJ has been shown to be effective in reducing stress, pain, and anxiety in cancer patients. For more information, view this
